Pellon Fusible Thermolam Plus

Thermolam Plus with fusible on one side. Same dense needled fleece, but it stays exactly where you put it while you stitch — which on a placemat with a mitered binding is the difference between flat and not.
Press with steam and hold. It bonds firmly and does not lift at the edges the way a light fusible can.
