Two-sided fusible web that sticks without heat. Peel the backing, press it down with your fingers, and the piece stays put while you arrange everything else — then one pass with the iron makes it permanent.
This is what makes a complicated applique layout possible: you can move a piece six times before committing. Also comes as narrow tape for binding and zipper work.
