Setting out to create high quality, exquisitely designed mirrors that will be enjoyed for generations is the
inspiration of Priaire Loft. Powered by a team of highly skilled craftsmen, and set out from
architecturally inspired Prairie style vernacular to redefine the classic design while carrying out an awareness of
the present.
Prairie Loft is a design leader of Prairie, Craftsman and Greene design mirrors. Each piece in
our collection is constructed with solid hardwood and superior mortise and tenon construction. Our collection
may be hung either vertically “portrait” or horizontally “landscape” and is a welcome addition to any wall in the
home or office. We use premium 1 1/4” beveled glass mirror that enhances light reflection. Most designs make
great picture frames as well.
Our widely admired Mahogany and Cherry wood is of high quality that produces a shallow and deeply interlocked,
roey or ribbon figure grain on a lustrous surface. A superb finish begins with machine sanding, which is where many
manufacturers end. Our craftsman machine sand and then hand sanded 3 - 4 separate times with progressively
finer sandpaper. The result? A finish with superior depth and transparency.
We use a catalyzed lacquer for our topcoats. Catalyzed lacquer exhibits excellent moisture and scratch resistance.
The topcoat goes on thin for clarity and dries quickly so it doesn’t pick up dust and dirt from the air.
Every piece is finished on all surfaces inside and out to protect the wood and prevent warping.
Our final finishing step is to hand rub each piece to bring out an even luster.
Prairie Loft has a full ten-year warranty on its mirror collection to the original purchaser,
to be free from defects in workmanship and material from the date of purchase.
